Velocity Communications was founded in October of 2004 with the intent of providing reliable and affordable high speed internet to the people of Trinity County.

Since then, Velocity has grown its network to cover over 700 square miles in Trinity, Humboldt, and Shasta counties.

In September of 2014, Velocity acquired New Day Broadband's cable television and internet system in Weaverville, and added video to its portfolio of services.

In March of 2017, Velocity successfully tied into AT&T's longhaul fiber optic line in Weaverville, allowing us to dramatically increase our speeds and begin offering enterprise-grade fiber optic services to businesses.

In May of 2019, Velocity began offering residential and business voice service across its entire service footprint.

We pride ourselves in providing broadband service where other carriers choose not to. Our company is not driven by the bottom line, but by the needs of our customers and communities. We live in the communities we provide service to, so we have a vested interest in providing high quality service and customer support.
